I can’t stand people who lie to themselves and create these fake pasts because the truth isn’t good enough or they can’t face what they’ve done in their own lives. I hate people who can’t accept themselves. Most people can’t, won’t, and refuse to bother with finding things they actually like about themselves. Even if they do, even if there’s one thing or person or moment that shines out above everything else, it’s overlooked and its light is dimmed. Everyone is guilty of this, no exceptions. I constantly lie to myself and find something to distract myself from the truth because I’m afraid of it. I’ve seen you do the same. You overlook the part of you that makes you your own and it won’t ever go away.

The lies don’t cover up anything. The game won’t end if you don’t stop playing it. No one else can save you. No one else can be your savior. You have to save yourself. You can only do that if you start being yourself. Accept the truth. Give up, you know there’s nothing else to do.
